Public speaking & presentation skills workshops

Learn to harness your natural speaking skills to deliver talks and presentations

Once your ideas have gained traction and people are interested in what you are doing, it’s time to start speaking to audiences and presenting your vision.

Whether you’re a student, an academic, a business, a non-profit or an individual with a good idea, it’s likely that there will come a time when you’re asked to deliver a presentation or a talk about what you’re doing and why.

Let me teach you to present powerfully, so that you can persuade, inform, influence or sell, by starting with your story.

Sample programmes & workshops

I offer presentation skills workshops as well as public speaking training, and can tailor the programme to your needs and the needs of your team.  I also offer talks and learn-at-lunch sessions, which are shorter and tend to focus on one specific learning objective.

  • Develop confidence in your own natural style through continual practise, feedback and refinement

Language

I  offer our storytelling workshops, coaching and talks in English. On request, it may be possible to offer this in German, or in a mix of English and German.

For native English-speakers, this means that you learn how to plan, structure and deliver presentations in a global English that native speakers and non-native speakers alike will understand.

If English is your second (or third, fourth, fifth!) language, this means that you will develop the skills to both plan and deliver a presentation confidently in English to a broad audience of English-speakers, with minimal nerves and without resorting to reading from your slides.

All the skills you learn will be transferable to other languages, too.

Public Speaking Training (for non-native and Native English speakers)

You have something to say. People want to hear it. And we can help you develop your public speaking skills so that you can plan, structure and deliver your speech or your talk like a professional!

The American comedian, Jerry Seinfeld, once commented that studies had shown that more people were afraid of speaking in public than they were of death.

If you’re nodding your head in agreement, or if you simply know that your public speaking skills aren’t as strong as they need to be, you’re in the right place.

My public speaking and speech training and coaching is designed to help you plan and structure your speech or talk with your audience in mind, and develop the confidence to deliver your speech or talk fluently and clearly, in global English.

Unlike presentations, a talk or speech doesn’t always include visual aids – and you won’t need them, because you’ll learn how to leverage the power of story and use the imagination of your audience to be memorable whilst being yourself.

Formats available

  • 1 day in-house workshops for teams and conferences
  • 30-45 minute keynote
  • 1-to-1 coaching sessions
  • short talks and interactive workshops on public speaking for high schools

I provide training and coaching in delivering speeches and giving talks exclusively in English.

For native English-speakers, this means that you learn to use a form of global English to help connect with a broad audience of native and non-native English speakers, in addition to learning skills in planning and structuring a talk.

If English is your second (or third, fourth, fifth!) language, you’ll have the opportunity to tailor your talk to your English language skills, so that you can deliver a talk confidently in English to a broad audience of English-speakers, with minimal nerves and without resorting to “reading”.

All the skills you learn will be transferable to other languages, too.
